their plans to use a song, written and recorded by Brett Valet, to assist them. NCADV expressed "the lyrics and words for
Skeleton of Shame are fairly symbolic of women going through abuse."

"If I never get a song on the charts, if I'm never wealthy or famous, I'll go to my grave, to meet my maker,
content. Maybe if this song can help rid us of domestic violence I will have done my best...and that's all anyone can do."
